Your gift to Jewish Family Service ensures that the over 15,000 community members we serve annually have access to critical programs and support in the areas of older adults, mental health and wellness, and basic needs assistance. Whether you give online, by mail, or over the phone, your generosity allows us to continue serving as the heart of a stronger community.

Tributes
Celebrate a special occasion or honor one’s memory in a meaningful way. Your tax-deductible gift supports the mission of Jewish Family Service while recognizing those who mean the most to you. Your loved one will receive a beautiful card with your personal message.
Estate and Planned Giving
Planning for the future and creating the legacy you wish to leave is one of the most effective ways to ensure a lasting impact. Making a gift in your will or living trust, known as a bequest, can guarantee that your legacy endures. Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate or the remainder after all other provisions are specified.

Stocks, Bonds, Securities
JFS works with the Jewish Federation of Detroit and the United Jewish Foundation to complete stock transactions.

Named Funds
Strengthen our community by establishing a Named Fund to benefit JFS’ core services or a specific program. Support the areas at JFS that mean the most to you with a minimum gift of $10,000 and an annual contribution of at least $1,000.
Naming Opportunities
When you support JFS, you also support the entire community and build upon your legacy of helping those in need. A variety of Jewish Family Service fleet vehicles, programs, building spaces, awards, events, and other assets are available to name at many different giving levels.
Donate your Vehicle
Donating a vehicle is an easy and free way to support Jewish Family Service. The pickup is free and your gift is tax-deductible. We accept cars, trucks, boats, and more.

In-Kind Donations
We are honored to be considered for in-kind donations, however, we are unable to take all items. For instance, we cannot accept used mattresses, clothes, and most furniture items.
